Since joining at the Kandra R.K.K. Mahavidyalay in 2006, Dr. Manjari has been involved teaching with research related to social issues mainly on Poverty Alleviation through Microfinance in some parts of  Burdwan District, West Bengal  and Puri Dist of Orissa(ICSSR sponsored Project), Wasteland Management in Jharkhand(U.G.C. sponsored Project). In her credit she published 26 research papers in International and National level journals and also presented near about 40 papers. Before joining this college Dr. Manjari worked at The University of Burdwan as a Research Associate (UGC sponsored Project on   Agricultural Backwardness and Strategy for its Removal through Social Mobilization in the Madhupur Subdivision, Jharkhand [Post Doctoral work] and awarded Ph.D. in the year 1998  on “Terrains and the Development of Agriculture in the Madhupur Erosion Surface in Bihar” from the University of Burdwan. ¨Acted as Convener of UGC Sponsored National Seminar on “Environment and Development: The Challenges of Millennium,”( December 8-9,2015)

Dr. Manjari Sarkar( Basu) has been acting as Subject Expert from 2015 nominated by the Vice- Chancellor     (University of Burdwan)  and  she has also been nominated by the Vice- Chancellor( University of Burdwan) as  Board member of UG Council( Geography & Environmental Studies), University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India, since 2015

•She awarded “International kahinoor” Award from, Economic growth foundation, New Delhi, 08th July 2018

• She also awarded “Vidya Ratan” Award from TEHEG , New Delhi, 07 April, 2018

• She also achieved 2nd position in Young Scientist Award in the year 2006 for paper presentation in Seminar, organized by ILLE, Kolkata

•  She attended Universal Academic Cluster International April Conference in Bangkok, Thailand on 27-28 April, 2017  for presenting her research paper.

• She  attended Fourth Global conference on Economic Geography 2015, at the University of Oxford, U.K. on 19-23, August,2015 for presenting her research paper.

• She  Attended Second International conference on Asian studies 2014, held in Colombo, Srilanka, on July 14-15, 2014 for presenting her research paper.
