Science Building & Laboratory

• College Campus has a separate Science Building with Modern Architecture and equipped with Cutting Edge facilities. Special facility is available for Physically Challenged students.
• The College authority has been always strived to procure latest lab based equipments. The Laboratory facilities available in the departments are utilised during practical classes on a daily basis and also offered to the students of other departments when the practical subject is of inter-disciplinary nature. There are Laboratories in departments like Physical education and Geography which are used by the UG students during regular practical classes.
• The newly formed Department of Chemistry   is progressing towards building up a fully equipped laboratory furnished with modern equipments and facilities.  Some of the instruments installed so far are:

 i) Stalagmometer (to measure surface tension of a liquid)

ii) Viscometer (to measure viscosity of a liquid)

iii) pH meter (to measure a liquid’s pH level)

iv) Centrifuge machine

• Department of Geography is well furnished with about 15 computers. Each and every computer has modern technology with Q-GIS software packages installed. Students of this department can easily access these resources from this Lab for any mapping and other satellite image processing task.
• The multi-media laboratory of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism has the state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities which enable one to have a rich learning and hands-on experience with the equipment of the media world. The computer lab of the department is equipped with 4 desktops and a laptop with loaded windows latest version operating system. The lab also has sound system, laser color printers, overhead projection system and 24 hours wi-fi enabled internet connectivity. Facilities like audio-edit suit for Radio production, video editing suit for audio-visual production, photo editing software like Photoshop and Quark express for Print media designing etc. are being provided by the department. The mediaLab is also equipped with cameras, tripod and microphone for training purpose and a LED Television with a cable connection for getting exposure to different types of television channels and programmme. Facilities apart, teaching faculty with wide-ranging teaching and learning experience adds zest to the whole ambience of the department.
